Mission Statement:
“Garland Christian Academy is dedicated to providing an excellent college-preparatory academic and extracurricular program within a Biblical worldview in order to develop a Christ-like, intellectually-equipped, community-focused and well-rounded student.”
Grades:
Garland Christian Academy is a coeducational school which offers K-4, K-5 and grades 1 through 12.

Garland Christian Academy is a ministry of Lavon Drive Baptist Church.
Affiliations:
Garland Christian Academy is a member of Texas Organization of Christian Schools, American Association of Christian Schools, Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools and Association of Christian Schools International, which is our accrediting association.
Facilities:
Garland Christian Academy utilizes the educational facilities of Lavon Drive Baptist Church. The facilities that are utilized include the Pre-school building, which houses the kindergarten classes; the Academy building, which houses grades 1-5; the East Wing, which houses grade 6, band and choir and the Coleman Center, which houses grades 7-12. Other facilities include: a playground, an elementary office, a secondary office, an elementary lunchroom, a secondary lunchroom, a gymnasium and football, baseball and softball fields.
The considerable contribution that the families of Lavon Drive Baptist Church make to the operation of the Academy allows the Academy to maintain a reasonable tuition rate. In addition to providing the facilities, the church in numerous other ways assists in the school’s operation. This contribution of active LDBC members is acknowledged by a small reduction in tuition rates. The Academy may in turn contribute financially to any projects that the church may have, especially those which involve buildings and facilities.
Sports:
Garland Christian Academy offers cheerleading, football, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball.
Fine Arts:
Garland Christian Academy offers art, band and choir.
School Hours:
Monday – Friday
School begins at 8:10 a.m.
Grades K4-5th dismisses at 3:00 p.m.
Grades 6th-12th dismisses at 3:10 p.m.
School Office Hours 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Student Organizations:
Garland Christian Academy has both a student council and a National Honor Society.
