Here’s a brief summary of our last district game.
Our GCA Swordsmen defeated the Canyon Creek Cougars this past Friday night, 26 – 10, for a share in the TAPPS II-4 district championship. It’s GCA’s first district championship in football since 1983.
The Swordsmen were led on offense by a steady rushing attack and efficient passing game to score two touchdowns in each half. On the other side of the ball, the Swordsmen defense held the reigning two-time defending state champs to just 156 yards of total offense and 9 first downs. It was a total team effort as the special teams contributed to the winning cause as well with 2 onside kick recoveries.
Go Swordsmen!
